Team ONE Lead

Overview:

Embark in a new opportunity to lead as the Team ONE Lead within our CORE program. The Team ONE initiative was born out of a deep commitment to community well-being and safety. Initiated after an extensive process of collecting community feedback, Team ONE uniquely addresses complex needs expressed by our community members in a way that’s genuinely community-oriented.

As the Team ONE Lead, you will be at the forefront of turning community aspirations into impactful initiatives. This role involves strategic leadership in transforming feedback into action, fostering collaboration with law enforcement, and working closely with volunteers to implement programs that enhance public safety, health, and community engagement. If you are passionate about making a real difference in the community and driving positive change, this role is an excellent opportunity to lead initiatives that address our community’s unique needs in an inclusive and community-centric manner.

This role is currently supported by a grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce spanning a two-year period. Should the Team ONE initiative prove successful, we will actively pursue additional funding to sustain and extend the program.

Salary/Benefit Package:

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000.  The City of Omak benefit package provides 100% employee coverage for medical, dental and vision.  This position includes retirement benefits through the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems.  You will also receive annual leave, sick leave and paid holidays.    

Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the Team ONE initiative, translating community feedback into actionable programs.
  2. Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with community members, businesses, and organizations to enhance public safety awareness and collaboration.
  3. Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for various community programs, including neighborhood watch, school presentations, business engagements, and special events.
  4. Program Development: Innovate and develop community programs that directly respond to the unique needs expressed by our community.
  5. Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate events that promote community safety, awareness, and engagement.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with law enforcement agencies, local government, and community partners to enhance the overall safety and well-being of the community.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in community engagement or related roles.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Background in law enforcement, community policing, or public safety.
  • Familiarity with local community dynamics and challenges.
  • Experience in volunteer management and program development.
